Nicola Burroughs

Undō Resident Yoga Instructor

About

Nicola is an Undō Resident Yoga Instructor, specialising in Child and Teen Yoga, as well as Adult Yoga for Sports.

Emanating from her enthusiasm for all things active, Nicola has developed a teaching focus that matches her passions: using yoga and mindfulness as a way to help improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and teens, and developing programmes to help adult sportspeople (amateur and professional) improve their performance.

Nicola has over 20 years’ experience teaching cross all phases in Primary Education, specialising in PE, PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) and Mental Health. She is a qualified teacher in children’s yoga and teen yoga as well as adult yoga.

In 2016, Nicola trained to become a running leader with UK Athletics and has led many “Couch to 5k” groups across Warwickshire and Coventry.  Her specialist yoga and running sessions help people of all levels achieve their running and fitness goals, while improving their overall health and reducing the risk of injury.

All of Nicola’s classes are designed to help improve flexibility, mobility and the range of movement required for daily life, and sports, with the aim of strengthening the mind, body and soul.

In addition to her passion for continuing education (she is currently doing a 80 hour Yoga in Sport qualification), Nicola loves travelling and even lived in Australia for a year. When not at Undō, you might find Nicola taking part in some of the adrenaline-fuelled activities that are also her passion, like snowboarding, scuba diving or even skydiving!
